Thorogood's Premium Oil-Tanned Full-Grain Leather Boots in Tobacco Brown (804-4210) are both comfortable and durable, designed for punishing jobs. These American-made work boots are crafted by skilled workers at Thorogood's US plants, using a combination of USA and globally sourced components.

The boots feature a MAXWEAR WEDGE™ TRACTION OUTSOLE that flexes better than other work boot soles, absorbing impacts and providing superior grip on wet and oily surfaces. The outsole meets ASTM F3445-21 slip-resistance standards for work boots.

With an 8-inch shaft height, these waterproof boots have a gusseted tongue to keep water and liquids at bay. The moisture-wicking lining inside pulls sweat away, ensuring you can work without worry. The composite safety toe protects your feet from on-site impact and compression hazards, while maintaining a lightweight and flexible design that meets ASTM F2413-18 safety toe standards.

The removable Ultimate Shock Absorption Footbed, with Thorogood's dual-density Poron Comfort Cushion Insole, provides exceptional comfort for the wearer. Thorogood's heritage dates back to 1892, when Albert H. Weinbrenner, at the age of 27, opened a cobblery in Milwaukee with partner Joseph Peffer, serving the "Jobbing" trades. Over the decades, the company has evolved, becoming a major contributor of boots to the U.S. Army in both World Wars, and later expanding into safety footwear production and the introduction of iconic designs like the Hike n' Camp boot.

In 2000, Thorogood employees took ownership of the company through an ESOP, and the brand continues to demonstrate a renewed commitment to upgrading and improving its domestic facilities, manufacturing methods, and computer systems. With the opening of a new factory in Merrill, WI, and the launch of the first Western wear product, Thorogood's Square Toe Wellingtons, the company celebrates its 130th anniversary in 2023, as sales continue to increase and the brand expands its offerings.
